Training Grounds

A newly set up arena for those that want to learn to fight and defend themselves and others. Mainly used by riders, handlers, weyrlings and wherlings with a few Weyrfolk being brave enough to join in.

Hatching Caverns

The Hatching Grounds for Dragons and Whers. It's two caverns of sand with natural stadiums that have been improved upon. The sands are heated by underground hot springs and in the summer can be nearly suffocating. The bigger cavern is just about the only place in the Weyr lit completely by natural light. The smaller is lit by glowlight for the sake of sensitive wher eyes. Watch out for protective parents!
